A wonderfully astute, multi layered character driven novel, Little Bits Of Karma is the debut release from author Laura Simmons. Gradually building momentum, the plots twists and turns will enthral as the reader moves seamlessly from past to present. Yes, reincarnation is a popular theme, but quite often it’s made overly complex though this certainly isn’t the case here. Simmons sometimes stretches credibility to the limit, but her narrative remains perfectly coherent. There’s timely exposition, her characters confidently developed and insightfully observed, all together fuelling intrigue and the desire to discover how the shards of Holly’s past bond together in the present. These alone are reasons to read Little Bits Of Karma, but what ultimately prevails is an innate sense of familiarity, ably captured by Simmons through the shrewd use of universal tropes which play to our innate need for answers. It’s entertaining, thought provoking and leads to an absolutely cracking denouement which readers will love.

"Little Bits of KARMA" by Laura Simmons is a very intriguing story that explains reincarnation; the supernatural force of redemption and the universal power of forgiveness. This story is shared from inside of the lives, present and past of Holly O'Rourke. Her decision, to visit a Psychic Medium, to address her desire to learn about her past lives. This decision takes Holly on a journey of spiritual healing and understanding.
This book is very well written and reads comfortably, whether you believe in Reincarnation or not. For me, it provided answers to life long questions, while leaving me with a longing to pursue those still unanswered. I highly recommend this book. - - Book Referees

What goes around comes around - I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley for an honest review. At first I was attracted to the visually appealing book cover that immediately caught my attention at first glance. The picture of the couple with the sun going down was breathtaking. The title of the book ‘Little Bits of Karma’ was not disappointing it matched the story perfectly. The book talked about the spiritual new age realm and explained the role of psychics in detail. The main characters are middle aged in this book making this book geared towards adult reading. The book is full of romance, suspense, and time travel with a touch of fantasy. I found myself envying Holly if only all of us could see our past lives in our dreams, learn from them and not make the same mistakes in our present life.
The book started with a prologue that listed individuals in the main character’s Holly O’Rourke current life and who they were in her past life. I found myself referencing the prologue repeatedly throughout the book. The prologue gave clarity. Holly’s past lives were intriguing. They say, “What goes around comes around” this is definitely true in this book. Sometimes we need a break from our own reality! Little Bits of Karma keeps you spellbound. -- Yvonne Wu
